BRIGADE Antivirus is one of the many solutions to prevent infecting your PC. It is a small and easy to use antivirus program that promises to protect your computer.

Although rather simple, the programs' interface looks a bit congested: it has a lot of buttons and the displayed information is not well organized. When starting BRIGADE Antivirus for the first time, it automatically enables the real time protection. The application runs in the system tray and monitors your computer for potential threats.

If you want to scan your PC, you can choose to scan all the drives, removable USB drives or just a selected folder. In the main window of the application, you are able to permanently view the scanning progress, as well as stop the process anytime you want.

The detected viruses are displayed in a separate list. Moreover, the program includes a 'Quarantine' section, where all the dangerous files are isolated, allowing you to delete them with just one click. Moreover, Windows XP users can enable or disable Firewall protection directly from the program.

This lightweight program does not focus only on the antivirus feature: it also offers you the possibility to remove the corrupted files from a certain drive. It also includes a tool for checking your IP addresses' ping response.

In comparison to other similar protection software, BRIGADE Antivirus lacks some standard security components, which makes it a less reliable solution for keeping your computer safe. In addition to this, the antivirus database is not permanently up to date and having to manually update it is a real inconvenient. Thus, there may be potential new threats that this application cannot detect.
